Little League All Star Selection

I agree on the manager issue. We won the league last year with s 14-0 record and fully expect to win the league again this year so it would be to my advantage if the winning manager got to pick his team. However I don't believe this is what it should be about. It should always be about what is best for the kids concerned. I think we will probably go to a system where the manager is picked via vote and not league standings. I don't believe the kids should pick the team though. I've yet to make my mind up on the most fair way to pick the players. I do think the last couple of players should be chosen by the manager. My reason for this is probably obvious but I think it is possible with any system to get too many players that are alike thus leaving the team weak in some sort of specialty area like pitching, catching, pinch hitting or running.
